Research

I have several strands of research associated with clinical work including:

  1. Collaborative research with the Heart Otago members in basic sciences and the Vascular Biology Group
  2. Interventional device trials (new device development, often 'First in Man' Clinical Trials)
  3. Involvement in multinational trials largely acting as Regional Primary Investigator, that frequently produce pivotal changes in clinical practice
