UNIO 101 is here to help you and your whānau know what to expect when starting university. It's online and self-paced, so you can get a head start before you arrive at Otago.

Starting university is a big step, and you and your whānau (family) might have a lot of questions about what to expect. During Orientation Week, you'll be able to attend one of our in-person UNIO 101 lectures, where you’ll learn more about how to succeed at university. You’ll also get access to “UNIO 102: Getting Started at Otago” in Aoroa, Otago's learning management system, which provides advice on how to settle in to life at Otago and ensure you’re getting the most out of your studies.

In the meantime, the interactive module “UNIO 101: Transition to University” provides you with key information to know before you arrive. It contains advice for students, and a separate module for whānau to help demystify university and plan for the year ahead.
