My main focus when teaching is to ensure there is an effective communication and meaningful connection between the students and I. I understand effective communication and meaningful connection as the development of trust, acceptance and a deep desire to share knowledge and experiences. I embrace cultural and social diversity in my teachings spaces and support the discussions and actions around that by the students.

Research
I am a clinical researcher interested in improving health outcomes for the maternal, ageing and neurological population. Particularly, I am interested in supporting evidence for managing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain (PPGP).
Additional details
Daniela is seeking motivated PhD and masters' students who have an interest in one of the following topics:
- Impact of LUTS on activity and participation, LUTS management and health delivery (ageing and neurological population) or
- Pregnancy-related lumbopelvic pain and falls (focus on health delivery, management and foundational research)
