Research

Cat trained as a medical laboratory scientist. She worked in haematology, immunology and clinical biochemistry in hospital and clinical trial laboratories in NZ and the UK before moving into academia. Her PhD thesis investigates changes in lipid profiles in the Otago region over time. This involves extensive data-mining to determine test equity and efficacy. Are we doing the best tests on the right people at the right time?

Cat is also involved in education research including interprofessional learning, student motivation and engagement.
