The School of Physiotherapy at Otago is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and practice.

The School was established in 1913 and is one of the oldest Physiotherapy Schools in the world. We are proud of our reputation as one of the leaders in innovation and excellence in physiotherapy education and research.

The School is committed to teaching, research, and clinical practice. The primary focus of our work is in the area of assessment, treatment, and prevention of physical dysfunction, and in the promotion of health for people of all ages.

We have a Physiotherapy Clinic in Dunedin providing a range of services to the University and local communities. Students are able to complete clinical placements here under the guidance of experienced physiotherapists who are experts in clinical teaching.

Research and knowledge transfer are integral parts of the School's activities managed through our dedicated Centre for Health, Activity, and Rehabilitation Research.
