Overview
Born and educated in England, Joe Ascroft (1925–1981) joined the Registry staff in 1966 as data processing manager.
At the time of his death he was Deputy Registrar (Services and Staffing).
A very popular University staff member, he also had a great love of music, fishing and trapshooting.
