Already insured with an insurance scheme?

If you are an international student insured with the Studentsafe or Unicare insurance scheme, Student Health may be able to bill the insurer directly for most of your visits, in accordance with your coverage. Please be aware that there are circumstances where direct billing is not possible (such as consultations regarding contraception, STI / sexual health testing and pre-existing conditions), so these will need to be paid to Student Health on the day of your appointment.

Other insurance companies cannot be billed in this way, so you will need to pay on the day of your appointment, and then claim reimbursement later from your insurer. If you're unsure if this applies to you, ask when you book your appointment.

Laboratory and Radiology charges will depend on the tests required, and must be paid at the provider at the time of appointment.
