Membership of the Library is available to staff and students of the University of Otago, Wellington (UOW).
Access to the physical library is only available to University staff and students.
Membership
UOW staff and students are automatically registered with the Library.
Due to the recent changes in contract between Te Whatu Ora and the University of Otago, Te Whatu Ora/Health New Zealand staff no longer have access to Library membership. All book/journal requests must be made via the HNZ digital library:

Membership entitles the users to:
- borrow books
- access the services of specialist librarian staff
- literature searches, current awareness and research services
Access to electronic resources
- All paid University staff are able to access electronic resources via their University username and password.
Use the off-campus access login to access resources from offsite - Non-paid, contracted clinical lecturers can:
- apply for an external username and then
- apply for access to electronic resources
