Overview
Pacific Islands Studies is taught across several departments. Papers are chosen for their coverage of topics such as Pacific prehistory, Pacific people's issues, Pacific history, Pacific religion and church history, Pacific art history, intercultural film and media studies, as well as Māori culture and history.

PACI 490 and further 400-level papers worth 72 points, including at least one PACI or PASX paper, from ANTH 416, ENGL 478, HIST 408, MAOR 407 or MAOX 407, MAOR 415 or MAOX 415, PACI 401 or PACX 401, PACI 402, PACX 410, or other approved papers relevant to the Pacific Islands. Students are required either to have passed MAOR 314 or another approved paper (e.g. EDUC 351, GEOG 380, HIST 353, POLS 302) or to substitute MAOR 314 for one of the prescribed 400-level papers. |
