Located on campus, you’d be forgiven for mistaking the historic St Margaret's buildings for a grand stately home, rather than a residential college, but step inside and you’ll find St Margaret’s prides itself on providing outstanding personal care, individualised academic support and amazing social experiences for 21st century students beginning their tertiary journey at Otago.

When you become a member of the Marg’s family, you know that you are part of something special – you’re in a place where you are fully supported to succeed academically, make life-long friends, get involved in everything that University and collegiate life has to offer, have healthy fun, and develop as an individual who is ready to take on, and make a difference, in the wider world.
Living in a residential college is an incredible experience that I couldn’t recommend more. It surrounds you with like-minded people from all around the country – and world – that you otherwise wouldn’t have met. You will look after each other and have so much fun figuring everything out together. Some of the people I was lucky enough to meet have become my second family. St Margaret’s set me up for success well beyond my time there.
