Regional Coordinator Wairoa

Kia ora, I'm a NZ born and trained GP who after many years of urban practice came to locum in Wairoa northern Hawke's Bay and got hooked on rural medicine. Having completed the Otago University Rural Medicine Diploma, I spent 2023 as the self-proclaimed oldest registrar in NZ to fulfil requirements for Fellowship in Rural Hospital Medicine.
With a paediatrician husband and three grown-up children, I share my time between Hastings and the beautiful Mahia Peninsula and enjoy outdoor activities and boardgames.
I hope to encourage RMIP students to be self-motivated with a lifelong love of learning and to take on the challenges of rural medical practice.
