I am a Rural GP currently working in Wairoa.
I’m originally from Hastings where my dad’s family is from. My mother grew up in Wairoa and moved to Hastings after high school and every summer we would holiday in the Mahia peninsula at my grandmother’s bach. Now I stay out there during the week whilst I work and travel back to Hastings in the weekends.
I studied down at Otago and spent my 5th year in Dannevirke as part of the RMIP programme. I’ve spent time working in Gisborne, Whangārei, Taranaki and Wānaka. I have a special interest in Women’s and Sexual Health.
I enjoy anything outdoors, especially surfing, diving, mountain biking, skiing, adventure racing and waka ama.
I’m excited to be part of teaching the new RMIP students to love rural medicine as much as I do.
