We regularly have spaces available for new whānau — contact us to find out if there is space on the days you need childcare. You don’t need to be a student or staff member of the University of Otago to enrol.

We welcome enquiries from both domestic and International families.

Enrolment process

We have a form that we ask all interested whānau to complete. It is recommended that you register to enrol as early as possible; we do use a wait list as required to fill spaces as they come up. We welcome registrations from as early as the beginning of pregnancy.

Head Teachers review registrations, family requirements, and assess their capacity to care for your child. If we are able to offer your child a place, we will contact you directly.

Before accepting the place, you will meet with the Head Teacher and be shown around the centre.

Acceptance of a place

Once you have been offered a place, you will need to fill out an enrolment form for your child and provide identification (birth certificate/passport).

On acceptance of a place, a deposit of $250 is required to reflect the investment of time our teachers will make in settling your child, and the costs incurred by OUCA if you do not take up the place accepted. The deposit will be credited to your child's fees account once they start attending.

The deposit will be not be refunded if the enrolment is cancelled between the time you sign this agreement accepting the place offered, and one month after your child's start date at the centre.
