Virginia's research interests focus on family centered care, chronic respiratory diseases, paediatrics, diabetes with Pacifica populations, technology enhanced education and learning.
Virginia's PhD looked at family centered care for children with chronic respiratory disease in New Zealand.
Virginia's post doctoral work drew directly from her PhD findings and explored the ways in which services and health professionals can better support parents and families of children with asthma.
Virginia is currently researching self-management of type 2 diabetes among Pacifica communities.
