The UOC Simulation Centre is holding its Simulation Instructor Training Workshop on 10–12 November 2026.
Places are limited to 20 participants, on a 'first-in' basis, and your place is not confirmed until payment in full has been received.
This is an approved College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) CPD course.

Focus and format of the workshop
The workshop includes active participation and practice of all components of simulation-based education as well as presentations and discussions of both theory and practice.
- Educational underpinnings of simulation-based education
- Principles and practice of scenario writing
- Best practice in SBE including focus on safety approaches to debriefing
- Orientation to the human simulators SimMan3G Plus / SimJunior / SimBaby and the simulation environment
- Developing and delivering/running a scenario
- Participating in scenarios
- Reviewing scenario development and delivery practice
- Debriefing a scenario
- Reviewing debriefing practice (debriefing the debrief)
Please note: participation requires agreement to and the use of video recordings of workshop activities.
