Bhubaneswor (often known by 'Dhakal') has been working in biostatistics and data management roles with the Christchurch Health and Development Study research unit.

His research interests include multivariable statistical methods for the analysis of longitudinal data, developmental trajectories in human behaviour, fixed and time dynamic influences on adult psychosocial wellbeing, and economic resource management.

Current/recent research has examined:

  • Time dynamic influences on the pattern of sexual partner relationships
  • Life course trajectories and socioeconomic outcomes of cannabis users
  • Management of environmental resources in Nepalese mountain farming communities
