Mr Frazer Barton is a practising barrister.
He was a partner for 37 years in the national law firm Anderson Lloyd before commencing practice as a barrister in 2025. He headed the firm’s Dunedin litigation team and spent eight years as national Chair of partners.
From 2022 to 2026 he was the President of the New Zealand Law Society.
Mr Barton has been a member of the University Council since 2016 and chairs the Appeals Board.
