Overview
Extending and broadening curriculum knowledge and pedagogically appropriate teaching approaches across curriculum learning areas.
This paper supports student teachers to extend and deepen their understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum in primary settings, building on the foundations established in EDGD 320. We begin by revisiting key ideas about curriculum, including its purpose, structure and learning progressions, as well as strengthening understanding of how curriculum, assessment and planning work together to support learning across Years 1-8.

This is an online, asynchronous paper.
The paper content is organised into modules which will be released at the start of the weeks indicated above. You can determine when you complete each of the activities associated with each module. We will monitor your engagement with online materials, and your level of engagement will be evident in your assessment tasks, but in this paper, there is considerable flexibility for you to complete the learning tasks at the times that suit you.
