    Learning Outcomes

    Students who successfully complete the paper will:

    • Assess firm financial health and viability using financial statements
    • Interpret performance using information from financial statements
    • Provide examples of venture capital sources
    • Estimate project and firm value by calculating free cash flows, applying time value of money concepts, and the cost of capital
    • Assess different business ventures to determine the viability of such investments
    • Analyse business data using spreadsheets
