- Identify several main approaches to the role of the lawyer and ethical decision-making;
- Be able to identify ethical issues arising from specific situations in legal practice;
- Be able to apply the legislation, case law and professional rules covered in this paper to a given set of facts;
- Be able to select and defend proposed courses of actions where the law is unclear or there is no law.
