The course objectives for LAWS 334 are:
- To encourage interest and engagement in the environment, environmental issues and environmental law in New Zealand;
- To foster a critical understanding of the development and key principles, statutes and cases forming New Zealand's environmental law through the study of selected and current topics; and
- To encourage the development of research, analysis and writing skills by providing opportunities for research-based assessment.
