Overview
Examination of the processes of perceiving and producing speech, including categorical perception, speech development, and their relation to linguistic theory.
Psycholinguistics is the study of how our mind and body actually processes language, studied experimentally using techniques common in psychology. In this paper, we will focus just on speech perception and speech production so that you have the chance to study one topic in depth. The focus is on actually doing things. You will read the theory but assessment is based around what you do with it, making an experiment happen.
