Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this paper will:

  • Acquire deep knowledge and understanding of the physiology of membrane and ion transport in the context of recent research
  • Develop high intellectual appreciation of the value of research to generating new knowledge, including critical evaluation, interpretation, deductive reasoning and rigour
  • Develop oral and written scientific communication skills
Assessment details

Final examination comprises 100% of the final grade; the format is 'open-book', writing three in-depth essays, either by hand or on a computer, based on a research article for each module given to you before the exam.
