Research

Kim has been the director of the Bone and Body Composition Research Unit since 2009. The Unit undertakes innovative prospective studies evaluating bone density and quantifying body composition and regional body fat distribution in children and adults using dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA).

She is also involved in several major research projects (BED, Time2Move, DREAM, POI, Dunedin Study) in several capacities, including physical activity recommendations for children and families, analysis and management of accelerometry and wearable camera data for physical activity and sleep assessment and bone body composition analyses and recommendations.
