Hauora Māori: Challenges and Opportunities provides a comprehensive introduction to Hauora a Iwi (Māori public health). We will explore key frameworks and models for understanding Hauora a Iwi, Māori health outcomes, and determinants influencing these outcomes. We will delve into contemporary Hauora Māori issues, and examine various opportunities and approaches to effectively meet these challenges. Through this paper, students will gain a deeper insight into critical aspects of Māori public health and strategies to improve health outcomes within Māori communities.

At the completion of this paper, students will be able to:

- Critically analyse contemporary Hauora Māori topics to identify key issues and challenges.
- Evaluate and propose public health approaches aimed at addressing inequities and promoting Māori flourishing.
