Research

My research interests reflect my practice as a general and colorectal surgeon, and my role as a clinical teacher.

Themes include:

  1. Cancer genomics - investigating the role of the p53 isoforms in colorectal cancer.
  2. Trainee-led collaborative research - large-scale, international, or global research collaborations capable of changing clinical practice, led by students and doctors in training.
  3. Innovative clinical teaching - utilising technology to reimagine the delivery of teaching in the operating theatre environment, and evolution of the student to health professional.
