I work to support individual teachers, school staff, subject specific clusters and school leaders with engagement in professional development. The mahi is about building strong relationships with each individual, matching their needs and readiness for challenges to engage in new learning, based on research evidence and the Teaching as Inquiry spiral, merging theory with practice to enhance teacher and students’ learning outcomes. I support the analysis of school data, identifying needs, and desired outcomes for akonga.
My experience includes
Mathematics and Statistics facilitator for the secondary setting, including support in formative assessment, NCEA, and National Standards through engaging in the Teaching as Inquiry spiral. Supporting the alignment of NZC with NCEA, through sound learning programme design, and the development and integration of the key competencies, vision, principles and value into PLD support. Encouraging the use of digital technologies to enhance learning within the classroom and home.
