For all overseas-trained teachers holding a provisional (Tōmua) teaching certificate.
The OTT package includes opportunities for PLD with all those holding a Tōmua certificate including New Zealand-trained PCTs and PLD specifically targeting the OTT audience.
How to enrol
- Before you enrol, note down your location and date preferences for the workshops and webinars.
- On the online enrolment form linked to below, in the 'Courses available' section, choose 'Course Type' – 'English medium' – 'OTT'.
- You will then be presented with options to choose from based on locations, dates, workshops and webinars.
Introduction Workshop for PCT/OTT and mentors
Regional workshop
For all first-year and second-year primary and secondary PCTs/OTTs (with provisional certification) and their mentors (mentor teachers, PCT coordinators, SCTs, HoDs and school leaders) teaching in English medium schools, Years 1–13.
Suitable for those who have not attended a workshop in 2022.
Develop a common understanding of:
- The components of the Induction and Mentoring (I&M) Programme.
- Using the Teacher Standards within the I&M Programme.
- The requirements for moving from provisional (Tōmua) to full (Tūturu) certification.
- The evidence and documentation to keep.
- The latest information from the Teaching Council.
