- Building confidence and competence in Te Reo me ngā Tikanga Māori across all sectors and levels
- Enabling the application of the above in learning and teaching in a considered, deliberate, natural and inclusive manner
- Scoping schools' needs, supporting leaders to prioritise and plan targeted PLD
- Interpreting data for both summative as well as formative purposes
- Implementing high quality inquiry practices with all stakeholders, to respond with targeted, tailored and culturally appropriate teaching and learning strategies
- Embedding sustainable policies, procedures and practices
- Developing and maintaining effective iwi, hapu, whānau and community relationships to extend learning across home and school
