About Louise

Louise taught for many years in the University of Otago Master of Dietetic Training Programme developing an interest in health professional education and interprofessional education.

In 2012 she took on the UOC Interprofessional Education (IPE) Campus Lead role and supports the development, delivery and evaluation of UOC-based IPE learning activities.

Louise assists with teaching into the MB ChB degree. She assists with planning, development, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of courses. In addition, she facilitates professional development; educational research; and confirmation pathway processes.

Area of expertise

Her interests focus on faculty development, curriculum development, interprofessional learning and interprofessional education.

Louise is currently a PhD candidate with the Department of Medicine exploring how students learn to become collaborative practitioners.

Supervision

Louise is available to supervise postgraduates enrolled in HEDU502 and Student Summership projects.
