Education Adviser, Medical Education Unit

Additional details

Education Advisers are available to assist staff in a range of educational matters, including: the planning, development, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of courses, professional development, and research with an educational focus.

Kayla works in the Medical Education Unit in the Dunedin School of Medicine supporting the 34 module-based clinical teaching teams in the fourth, fifth and sixth-year MB ChB programme.

Her current projects include: launching the new Older Persons’ Health module, exploring pastoral care in the clinical environment, evaluating student feedback strategies, and operationalising the MB ChB intercampus alignment on the Dunedin campus.

Prior to this role, Kayla worked as a Head of Department of Science, Senior Curriculum Co-ordinator, and Learning Support Specialist in a composite campus in Queensland, Australia.
