Greg Turner is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Christchurch Hospital and a Senior Lecturer within the Department of Surgery and Critical Care at the University of Otago, Christchurch.

After obtaining FRACS in 2020 he did his MMedSc here in Christchurch studying the colonic microbiome and the management of diverticular disease.

He did clinical fellowships in Melbourne subspecialising in colorectal surgery in under the ANZTBCRS programme. He subsequently undertook an additional fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, gaining expertise in complex pelvic cancer, and robotic surgery before returning to Christchurch in 2024.
