The power of education
Education is founded on relationships: teacher to student, student to student, and student to self. In education, we will cover a range of curriculum areas. Teacher's design, develop, and implement programmes to foster life-long and future-focused learning. Hands-On Education is an opportunity for students to explore the curriculum ranging from Early Childhood through Primary and into Secondary.
On Monday, students will participate in a range of activities around Hauora/Physical Education to include physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being along with connections to people and places through their pepeha.
Tuesday will be in the Food Technology Room for chocolate making using edible glitter, flavouring, and personal moulds, as part of this activity, we discuss the design process of Technology.
Wednesday is Science exploring the Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences.
Thursday is the final day with Hands-On Education, and it is engaging with the Visual Arts first with finger-painting and then puff paint ending with us creating art in the style of Banksy.
