Research

Christine has over 18 years of research experience covering a range of methodologies (randomised controlled trials and qualitative research) and topics, including allergy prevention and metabolic health. A nurse by background, Christine completed her PhD in diabetes prevention in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Her current research, undertaken in partnership with Porirua Union and Community Health Service, a high-needs practice serving predominantly Pacific and Māori communities, focuses on understanding local priorities, developing evidence on general practice needs, and supporting practical approaches to strengthen health equity.
