Pathways to sexual offending, disclosure of sexual abuse, and child witness research, surveillance of self-harm, and suicide prevention.

Research

Linda has worked on a number of research grants under the direction of Dr Tess Patterson and Dr Sarah Fortune. Her research interests cover areas of child developmental psychology including children’s memory and eye-witness testimony, pathways to sexual offending, and issues of sexual abuse. Her research interests also cover areas of suicide prevention including the surveillance of self-harm and experiences of using self-harm services.

Her work includes all aspects of research procedures, administration and project management. It also involves working with Research Assistants, assisting with student projects, and collaborative work with members of the Department of Psychology.

She is a member of a research team charged with evaluating a nationally-recognised drug and alcohol recovery programme, and has also worked as member of a clinical drug trial research team involving the Down syndrome population.
