Research

Phil is an Associate Professor with the Department of Medicine and a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist for Canterbury District Health Board. He is also a Senior Research Fellow with the BHF Centre for Cardiovascular Science at the University of Edinburgh, UK, where he completed his PhD. His clinical interests are related to the percutaneous treatment of complex coronary and structural heart diseases. His research focus is the diagnostic and prognostic assessment of cardiovascular disease using circulating and imaging biomarkers.
