Ko Ngati Porou, ko Tararaa, ko Ngati Maru oku nei iwi.

Ko Pakirikiri raua ko Matai Whetu oku nei marae.

Ko te Whanau o Ruataupare toku hapu.

Ahakoa e whanau mai ahau kei Whakatuu,

kei Tamaka-ma-karau ki te tonga ahau i tipu haere.

Ko Harold Elkington te hoa rangaira, no Ngati Koata ia.

Ko Kushla, ratou ko Kere, ko Hana, ko Pomare, ko Ngarimu, ko Nanaia, ko Awatea a maua nei tamariki.

Tekau ma tahi a maua nei mokopuna and one bossy cat, who has disappointingly re-homed himself, since leaving Kirikiriroa.

Kei Tauranga-Moana nga matua e noho ana, ko Albert raua ko Jan Kewene. Kei te ora raua.

Na reira, e mihi ana.

Dr Jacquelyn Elkington's education background is in psychology, human development and indigenous studies. Her practice background is in counselling and social work. She is interested in the social construction of holistic health and the implications of Māori culture on how we design, deliver and evaluate Māori health services. She enjoys taking the moko to the beach, cheerleading them on at the side of the rugby field, and hot chocolate drinks wherever there is a mountain, lake or ocean view.
