Research
I am currently working on multiple projects at the Bioethics Centre. Topics include health equity, ethics of the secondary use of health data, social license, and animal health in the antimicrobial crisis. Beyond the University, I am also serve as a Programme Coordinator for the Yellow-eyed Penguin (Hoiho) Trust.
My PhD research focussed on bridging holistic environmentalism and individualistic animalism by centering the values of te ao Māori. Approaching philosophical problems from the ground up, I mainly think about the responsibilities we have as embedded individuals in a multispecies world. Applying multidisciplinary thought and practice, I work on how we can practice justice with care to collaboratively achieve sustainable and healthy relationships.
I am currently applying my method of just decision-making called the Unfurling Koru in different contexts (such as food justice).
