Research summary
Involved in research projects within the cardiology department at Wellington Hospital – largely audit-based.
Teaching
  • Convener of 5th-year General Medicine and Subspecialties Module. Co-ordinator of the cardiology teaching within the module.
  • I supervise trainee interns / Resident Medical officers and registrars (both basic training as well as advanced trainees in cardiology)
Clinical
Cardiologist at Wellington Hospital. I have particular interests in adult congenital heart disease ; heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. I also have an interest in obstetric cardiology.

Research

Currently co-author in review of management of patients with prosthetic valve replacements during pregnancy (submitting for publication).

Supervisor and co-author for 2 posters being presented at cardiac Society meeting June 2026:

  • Pharmacological management of new Heart Failure patients admitted to Wellington Hospital: A retrospective Audit of 100 patients
  • Assessment of Appropriateness of Referrals for Palliative Care in a cohort of patients admitted to Wellington Hospital with heart failure
