Overview

JOURNEYS is a large Health Research Council funded project which aims to identify modifiable delays in health systems encountered by tāngata during their diagnostic and therapeutic journey with gynaecological cancer.

Within the larger project, there is scope for a PhD and/or Masters project. We have a preference for a Māori and/or Pasifika person.

There is flexibility around the post-graduate project, but it is likely to include one or more of the below topics:

  • Reflexive thematic analysis of patient interview data
  • Evaluation of the benefit of whakawhanaungatanga during the consenting process
  • Comparison of the analysis of delay based on Urban Accessibility vs Geographic Classification of Health
