I'm Gina and I'm the Library Kaiāwhina for Sciences. I grew up in Tūrangi and Waiharakeke (Marlborough), and have studied a wide range of subjects (including sciences) - both in Otautahi Christchurch and here in Ōtepoti. I've lived here since 2001, and love being surrounded by our stunning beaches, forests, and precious wildlife.

I'm based at the Health Sciences Library so please feel free to call in or send me an email – I'm here to help!

Wishing you well on your university journey, and please do not hesitate to get in touch!

I work as a Subject Librarian based in the Central Library, supporting Languages and Cultures; English and Linguistics; Music, Theatre and Performing Arts; Media, Film and Communication. I have also worked at Te Uare Taoka o Hākena | Hocken Collections, and in the OU Science and Robertson / Education libraries.

I am here to help, and can offer Library support around finding, using, evaluating, and referencing stuff for your study and research. You're welcome to visit me on the first floor of the Central Library, or to get in touch via phone.
