Bioethics seminar – What is this thing called Bioethics?
The Department of Bioethics invites you to a special seminar celebrating the work of Professor John McMillan.
John joined the University of Otago in 2012. He held key leadership roles within the University, including Director of the Bioethics Centre (now Department of Bioethics), as well as in the field of bioethics, including Editor of the Journal of Medical Ethics and Chair of New Zealand's National Ethics Advisory Committee (NEAC).
John has taught thousands of medical and dental students, convened and taught key bioethics papers, and supervised dozens of postgraduate students. He is leaving the University of Otago in November to take up a position as Professor in the Centre for Biomedical Ethics, National University of Singapore.
