Join us for a public lecture by Dr Julie Bakker, Eccles Lecturer from the University of Liège, exploring how sex differences in the brain develop and what they mean for behaviour.

Dr Bakker’s research combines studies in animal models with advanced brain imaging and clinical research in humans. Her work helps explain how genetic and hormonal factors shape the brain across development, and how these processes relate to conditions affecting sexual development and gender identity.

In this talk, she will share recent findings on how the brain becomes sexually differentiated, and why this matters for understanding health and behaviour in both females and males.

The lecture will be followed by an informal opportunity to meet Dr Bakker and enjoy light refreshments.
