Overview

This intensive two-week revision course is  intended to help candidates sitting for the written component of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians examination. The course has been held annually since 1986 and is the longest running and most popular course of its kind in Australasia.

This well-established course is delivered by experienced specialists selected as being excellent teachers and communicators who are experts in their field. The course is updated yearly to deliver information on the latest guidelines and therapeutic developments. A large number of MCQ s and practice exams are available.

From 2022, we have made this course hybrid, where we are accepting attendees in-person and online.

2023

We offer this course in two different formats and dates:

  • For those who have their examination in October 2023 – we are offering last year's recordings and e-materials for the price of $999.00 NZD (GST Inclusive). Your access to the course materials will be granted after registration closes on 1 July 2023. Please note that it takes up to two weeks for your username to be created. You will have access until 31 October 2023. Registrations will be accepted after 1 July 2023 but access to the course materials will not be extended beyond 31 October 2023.

The price for the online course is $1,399.00 NZD (GST Inclusive).

  • For those who have their examination in February 2024, we are offering a hybrid (in-person and online) course. The materials and recordings are the same, however, those who register for the in-person course receive a hardcopy workbook, merchandise, and two social events – offering a wonderful experience of Dunedin city.

The price for the in-person course is $3,199.00 NZD (GST Inclusive).

2024

We will be offering the same two formats of the course in 2024.

  • For those who have their examination in October 2024 – we will be offering 2023’s recordings and e-materials. Access to the course materials will be granted after registration closes on 1 July 2024. Please note that it takes up to two weeks for your username to be created. You will have access until 31 October 2024. Late registrations will be accepted after 1 July 2024 but access to the course materials will not be extended beyond 31 October 2024.
  • For those who have their examination in February 2025, we are offering a hybrid (in-person and online) course (11 – 22 November 2024). The materials and recordings are the same, however, those who register for the in-person course receive a hardcopy workbook, merchandise, and are welcome to attend two social events – offering a wonderful experience of Dunedin city. Access to the course materials will be granted one week before the course commences and you will have access until 29 February 2025.

Prices for the 2024 course will be announced later in the year. Registration will open in February 2024. If you wish to be notified closer to registration opening, please contact physician.education@otago.ac.nz to be added to our email list.

Refund policy

Cancellations made up to three months before the course will receive a 100 per cent refund, minus an administration charge of NZ$50.

Cancellations made between three months and six weeks before the course will receive a 50 per cent refund, minus an administration charge of NZ$50.

Cancellations within six weeks of the course will receive no refund.
