New Zealand Association of Pharmacy Students Otago
The New Zealand Association of Pharmacy Students Otago (NZAPS-O) is a voluntary student executive committee who represent the students studying at He Rau Kawakawa. The committee has much to offer to its members. This explains why NZAPS-O enjoys a very strong membership, with 98% of pharmacy students being members.
Studying towards a BPharm is not all work and no play. All NZAPS-O executives work closely together to plan and organise numerous social and sporting occasions throughout the year for the students. These include events such as PO Week, Flat Crawl, Wine & Cheese, Pharmacy Ball, Pharmacy Revue, Quiz Nights, Interfaculty Sports; played against dentistry and physio, and much more.
All Pharmacy students are eligible to become an NZAPS-O member. Which will entitle you to some great deals and savings during your time as a pharmacy student. Joining NZAPS-O will allow you to benefit from, and enjoy cheaper social event tickets, deals for first aid courses, as well as discounts from businesses around Dunedin. NZAPS-O members are also eligible to apply for Student Exchange Programmes, as well as pharmacy conferences overseas. Such as the IPSF World Congress (International Pharmaceutical Student Federation) or APPS (Asia-Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium). In which NZAPS-O are the full member organisation to IPSF for New Zealand.
We have an office in the Hunter Centre, which is open from 1pm–2pm on Monday's and Wednesday's during semester times, so feel free to come in and have a chat with us if you have any questions.
