Research interests
I work on the methodology and philosophy of science, studying how philosophy, cognitive science, and AI can help make complex systems, like brains and neural networks, intelligible.
My main projects:
- Elaborates and defends a pragmatic answer to that question
- Applies it to clarify and improve methodology in cognitive science and AI
- Traces its implications for philosophical and psychological theories of concepts
I also have projects in philosophy of mind (especially concerning how we conceptualize and engage with AI tools) and philosophical methodology (concerning thought experiments, case studies, and philosophical model organisms).
Teaching and supervision
I regularly teach in philosophy of mind, science (especially cognitive science), and AI. If you're interested in postgraduate work in one of those areas, please get in touch.
