Students in the second-year medical class are invited to apply for the Dr Nancy Butt Memorial Scholarship. The Dr Nancy Butt Memorial Scholarship was established in 1995 in memory of the late Dr Nancy Serena Geddis Butt, who graduated MB ChB from the University of Otago in 1947.
The Scholarship will be awarded by the University Council on the recommendation of the Dean of the Otago Medical School. The scholarship is to assist a student with clear ability but who, without adequate financial means, would otherwise find it difficult to complete the medical course.
Applicants must:
- be a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand Residence Class Visa Holder, and
- be entering the second year of the course leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
