Te Rangihīroa College was previously the name of our college located at 192 Castle Street. That college has been renamed – find out more about 192 Castle College.
When completed, Te Rangihīroa College will be the University’s most modern college facility. And it is located just five minutes from our Dunedin campus.
Te Rangihīroa College, located at 15 Forth Street, is anticipated to be completed in the middle of 2023.
It features a large dining room with full meal services, social lounge, media and music rooms, and two dedicated study spaces. There are 150 ensuite bedrooms as well as standard and accessible rooms. Te Rangihīroa College will be a 5-Star Greenstar building when completed.
In the coming months we will share more information about the College and its facilities.
Te Rangihīroa College will welcome its first full year intake of students in 2024. Applications open on 1 August 2023.

Te Rangihīroa College is owned by the University of Otago and operated by the Campus and Collegiate Life Services Division as part of the Operations Group. Te Rangihīroa College is managed by the Warden and their team.
