Sinéad was among the first Irish doctors to train formally in palliative medicine and the first to be awarded a doctorate for palliative medicine research. In this lecture we will travel on a research journey, from the west of Ireland to the west of Scotland, to the Midwestern United States, back to Ireland and then to Aotearoa. This will be a journey of curiosity and discovery, through words and images, gathering the experiences of people facing their deaths, with their families, and listening to the inspirational stories of those who care for them.
