The MSc(Thesis) programme provides a comprehensive initiation to the world of independent research in Zoology. It usually consists of a "papers year" in which students complete coursework and plan their theses, and a "thesis year" during which the research project is completed (with an appropriate qualification it is possible to progress directly to the thesis year). Students can apply for an MSc(Thesis) scholarship to cover tuition and a living allowance during the thesis year, with the awarding of the scholarship based primarily on grades during the papers year. All students should have a confirmed supervisor before applying for postgraduate courses. For further information about a MSc(Thesis) in Zoology pleave visit the qualification page.
